

Job Readiness Program
According to the Labor Department, the unemployment rate in April 2020 increased by 10.3 percent to 14.7 percent. Data has indicated this is the highest over-the-month increase in the history data from January 1948. In addition, the pandemic made working extremely difficult due to safety concerns and employers closing businesses. The impact increased unemployment from 15.9 million to 23.1 million Americans in April 2020. Although the unemployment rate has decreased in South Carolina, several people are seeking new career paths.
Our organization works with individuals through our Job Readiness Program to assist with their skills, needs, and desires to find their passionate careers. Our Job Readiness provides a clear understanding of vocational options and sets strategic goals to reach the selected job. We shall provide the following but not limited to:

Resume Writing: Our workshops shall teach how to prepare their resume while making it stand out to recruiters and human resource departments. We shall educate them on the language dynamics, use keywords from the potential job description in their resume, and tailor it specifically for the job applied.

Interviewing Skills: Our team shall demonstrate and model a professional interview. The team will discuss how to answer the questions without detouring off the subject, explain the importance of good eye contact, sit properly in the chair, and describe why they are the best candidates.

Dress Attire: Devine Leadership knows that the first impression can be your last impression at an interview; therefore, we will educate individuals on professional dress attire. Our workshops shall provide information on the importance of professional and appropriate clothing for a job. In addition, our team shall put outfits together to demonstrate what a professional wardrobe attire looks like and what is needed for a professional career.

Learning A Trade: Devine Leadership shall offer a trade in electrical work and from their franchise Jerimah's Ice. The Electrician shall provide hands-on training on wiring, understanding the voltages, installing lights, etc. We shall also offer internships to local colleges. This program will consist of workshops and a certificate of completion.
